there is an element of madness in this, where the title, snow effect, might offer me only peace. i wonder where the madness comes from. will you tell the story, or is the suggestion of story from the painting enough?

Hello Laura! OK, I'm gonna be original and will say "Woohoo..." ...beautiful. I can relate very well with this painting. In my country where winters are very cold, with the sun very low on the horizon, the snow is usually very white. But I've seen from time to time very strange colour effects caused by both sky wand trees.
This one has something... it has life in it. It's not a dead winter! You painters have such a huge advantage on us photographers! That's why I use the graphic tablet constantly nowadays... trying to fill the gap.
Keep up the good work, you give me inspiration.

Non è magnifico il manto candido della neve?
Così splendido quanto la morte e la vita stesse... Un manto bianco sembra eterno ed immutabile, eppure basta un lieve calore per farlo sciogliere come burro in una padella rovente... E della neve rimane sono il ricordo accompagnato dall'aroma del bosco ancora bagnato...
Cuando te vistes de estos colores es cuando me doy más cuenta que eres naciste para esto... Gracias por compartirlo y darnos ese poquito de ti en cada obra tuya... que delicia de contemplarlos ... Un abrazo hasta alli.
