Reality is illusory relative and subjective expression

The knowledge that others have of us is stereotypical, but our identity is fluid, constantly evolving, and our personality is not uniform. Each of us is absolutely alone, unknown even to himself.

Dear Laura,
I love these paintings and your sentences on identity. In my eyes, each person is a universe. If so, that's a lot of job to find identity. Some people seek answers an outside. Others, seek them in an inner world. Methods is not a matter, but an answer should be unique and individual. Paradox. That answer grows and leads to another challenge. But a person who finds her/himself will not be easily stumbled. I hope my poor writing makes sense. Thank you for reading. Take care.
Kind regards, Sadami

much sense what you wrote, and I agree with you, just that it is very difficult to find the balance.

Thank you very much
see you soon

!!!!!!

THAT is my response to what you write on identity! My god, yes!

And so your works of self become all the more important.

The knowing of us each is a network that hums as though it is made of electricity interwoven, never at one point, the truth of it always vibrating and elusive. Wonderful!

I love your portraits, Laura, as well as all your works. But, why would an artist sit down to paint when she is uninspired?

Hugs.

Beautiful brushwork and gorgeous colors. First enjoy the flexibility of the paint around and then I get up and they enjoy looking at them from several feet away to enjoy the deep expressions and looks of your pictures. Must be a sight to see them live. A hug.

Laura, these are beautiful portraits - yes it is so true that others can't know us, and we can't know ourselves either, always in a state of change. Maybe that's what art is for, to get at some of the truth that lies behind the reality, to make us see each other with new eyes and minds.

Greetings Laura, Oh how juicy is this? You do your artistic lineage proud :) Reminding me of Emile Nolde's seascapes, but cleaner and better controlled.

You have a way with thickness that I admire so much! I make mud with mine!
